After reading seven books in seven days (literally), I was ready to watch something, but didn’t know what…
I watch extremely little TV, but had just finished watching Succession last Sunday and Who is America on is only on once a week (still no binging ability on HBO or Showtime for better or worse!).
After browsing for twenty minutes with no avail, I was quite annoyed and decided I just wanted to find the best comedy special, so I looked it up on
Google. When I’ve found specials before through searching, they usually let me down. After all, most are not that good. And comedy does have to be that good or it gets boring fast.
However, Hannah Gadsby’s special is just BRILLIANT!!! There’s never a dull moment.
It is an absolute must watch for anybody who wants to understand what being born different is like… From the eyes of a lesbian woman growing up in a town where 70% of society believed being gay is CRIMINAL!
It’s extremely funny, but also heart wrenching. Hannah is clever in the way she peels back the onion to her story. If it were a TED Talk, it would be right up there with the best of all time.
I knew it needed a bigger audience (what great content doesn’t?) so I sent it to Bob Lefsetz only to realize he already wrote about it two months ago. Now that I think of it, I remember reading it… But didn’t make time to watch it then.
Do NOT make the same mistake I did!
You will be happy you sat down to watch this whether alone or with somebody you love!
