I wrote a post last week titled “If You Don’t Know” about how to approach situations you haven’t experienced before with confidence, humility and curiosity.

AoaM reader Alexandra Koshy replied with a few additional pointers worth sharing:

1/The people on the other line are humans, just like me. Everybody has been through it.

2/If I’ve never talked to them before, they don’t know that I haven’t been in the game that long. So I try to remind myself that.

3/People respect others that want to understand things fully. Just because I ask questions to gain more clarity on any given situation doesn’t mean I’m lacking in smarts. Respect your learning process!

If you’ve already made it past the point in your career where these words are meaningful to you, maybe there’s somebody close to you who can use them today! 🙂
