I sent out signed copies of the Third Door book as my holiday gift at the end of last year.

Today, I received a letter in the mail thanking me for it – It was probably the tenth note I’ve received of this nature.

When I send out a gift, I definitely do not expect to receive a thank you note for it.

For the record, I don’t write thank you notes for every gift I receive, especially around the holiday time.

So why am I writing this?

Well, the ten people who sent thank you notes have something in common… They are the most powerful industry leaders on my list.

Some of them wrote 2-3 sentences thank you’s and others signed notes their assistants wrote. Either way, their system is in place.

Those we look up to got there by paying attention to the details of their relationships. These habits clearly haven’t left them in success.

Many of us want to get to where they are… Their example can serve as a guide for the types of leaders we need to be.

It’s always the right time to acknowledge others and make them feel appreciated.

People like to say the devil’s in the details… Seems like the angel is too!
